Compress images and hit a target file size
Set a target in kilobytes and the tool searches for the highest quality that still fits under it, instead of leaving you to guess at a quality slider. Compress one image or a batch, compare before and after, and keep the result only if the saving is worth it. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and there's no per-file limit.
How to compress an image
Add your images
Drop in one file or a whole batch; current sizes are listed for each.
Set a target or a quality
Enter a target size in KB and let the tool find the quality that fits, or set the quality yourself and see what it costs.
Compare and download
Check the before-and-after size, then save the file — or the batch as a ZIP.

Compress Image — frequently asked questions
How do I compress an image to under 100 KB?
Type 100 into the target size field and compress. The tool steps the quality down until the output fits, and shows you the quality it settled on.
Which format compresses best?
WebP is usually 25-35% smaller than JPG at the same visual quality, and AVIF smaller still. Convert first with Convert Image Format if the destination supports them.
Does compressing lose quality?
JPG and WebP compression is lossy by definition, so yes — the question is whether you can see it. Above about 80% quality the difference is invisible on screen for most photographs.
Do my images get uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool on Notoo Tools runs as JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your browser tab. There is no server that receives your files — you can disconnect from the network after the page loads and the tool keeps working.
Do I need an account or a subscription?
Neither. There's no sign-up, no email, no free-tier limit and no watermark. Bookmark the tool and it opens straight into the work.
