Crop an image to any aspect ratio
Drag a frame over your photo or screenshot and keep only what's inside it. Work freehand, or lock the frame to 1:1 for an avatar, 16:9 for a thumbnail, 4:3, 3:2 or 9:16 for a story. The crop is applied to the original pixels, so the result is as sharp as the source — and the image is never uploaded to crop it.
How to crop an image
Add your image
Drop in a JPG, PNG or WebP, or paste one from the clipboard.
Set the frame
Drag the crop handles, or lock an aspect ratio first and then position the frame. Live dimensions are shown as you drag.
Crop and download
Press Crop and save the result. Only the area inside the frame is written to the new file.
What Crop Image can do
Preset ratios
1:1, 16:9, 4:3, 3:2, 9:16 and free — the shapes you actually need.
Pixel-exact readout
The frame's real dimensions are shown while you drag it.
No quality loss
Cropping selects pixels rather than resampling them.
Stays on your device
The photo is decoded and cropped in the tab, never uploaded.
Crop Image — frequently asked questions
How do I crop an image to a square for a profile picture?
Lock the ratio to 1:1, drag the frame over the part you want, and crop. Most avatars want at least 400×400, which the readout confirms as you size the frame.
Can I crop several images at once?
Cropping is one image at a time, because the right frame is different for each. Resizing, though, does work in batches — see Resize Image.
Will cropping make the image blurry?
No. Cropping keeps the original pixels inside the frame. It only looks soft if you crop very small and then blow the result back up.
Do my images get uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool on Notoo Tools runs as JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your browser tab. There is no server that receives your files — you can disconnect from the network after the page loads and the tool keeps working.
Do I need an account or a subscription?
Neither. There's no sign-up, no email, no free-tier limit and no watermark. Bookmark the tool and it opens straight into the work.
