Split a PDF in half in one click
The simplest cut there is: the first half of the document in one file, the second half in another. Useful for two-up scans, double-sided handouts and anything you need to hand to two people. Drop the PDF, press the button, and both halves download — with no upload, no sign-up and no watermark.
How to split a PDF in half
Add the PDF
Drop your file in. The tool reads the page count and shows you where the cut will land.
Check the split point
An odd number of pages puts the extra page in the first half. The preview tells you exactly which pages go where.
Download both halves
Press Split in half and both files are written locally and downloaded, named after the original.
What Split PDF in Half can do
One click
No ranges to type and no settings to read — the split point is calculated for you.
Odd page counts handled
A 51-page document splits 26 / 25 rather than failing.
Both halves at once
Two downloads, both named after the source so you can tell them apart.
Private
The PDF is processed in your browser and never sent to a server.
Split PDF in Half — frequently asked questions
Where exactly does the PDF get cut?
At the midpoint. A 40-page PDF becomes pages 1-20 and 21-40. With an odd page count the first half takes the extra page.
Can I split somewhere other than the middle?
Use Split PDF for fixed-size chunks, or Extract PDF Pages to pull out any range you like.
Do my PDFs get uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool on Notoo Tools runs as JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your browser tab. There is no server that receives your files — you can disconnect from the network after the page loads and the tool keeps working.
Do I need an account or a subscription?
Neither. There's no sign-up, no email, no free-tier limit and no watermark. Bookmark the tool and it opens straight into the work.
